RETOLD in five steps

  1. 01 — The sagas

    A saga for every group.

Family, friends or teammates: a saga brings together the people who lived the same moments.

  2. 02 — The characters

    A saga and its people.

Every saga has a name and brings together the people who live it.

  3. 03 — Tell

    Everyone tells their moments.

A few words are enough, RETOLD stages them.

  4. 04 — The timeline

    Everyone’s moments, one story.

Every moment takes its place on the timeline, next to everyone else’s.

  5. 05 — Share

    And everyone joins in.

Moments come to life; everyone reacts, comments or suggests a change.

Your story stays yours.

A private space, for you and the people you invite.

  • A private saga

Only the people you invite can see it. A moment leaves it only if you share its link.

  • Your pictures stay yours

Forever, even if you stop your plan.

  • Your photos stay private

They are only used to draw your people, and are never published.

Frequently asked questions

See the plans

Does it cost anything?

Starting is free, no credit card needed: your first pictures are on us. Telling, reading, inviting and sharing stay free and unlimited. To create more pictures or animations, there is a monthly plan or one-off packs.

Do we need photos of our people?

No, but it helps. One photo of each person lets RETOLD draw them recognisably from one scene to the next, and those portraits use no credits. You can also start without photos.

Who can see our saga?

Only the people you invite. You can also share one moment through a private link: whoever receives it sees that moment, not the rest of the saga.

What if I don’t know the exact date?

An approximate date is enough: “around 1998”, “the summer I turned ten”. With no date at all, the moment is kept and the other members are asked to place it.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. RETOLD works in the browser and can be added to your phone’s home screen, like an app.
